Workshop 1: Visual journaling for Mental Health. (15 years and above)
With emphasis on practising therapeutic art skills for well-being, you will learn skills to create affirmation and gratitude cards, along with how to make original visual journal pages as you combine various art media while writing, designing and image making for mental health, using inspirational techniques and special effects adapted to your individual journaling needs.
You will come away from the workshop with visual journal strategies that you can utilise to improve your mental health.
Workshop 2: Visual Journaling Your Artistic Process. (For Beginner & Emerging Artists and Professional Artists wanting a Refresher)
Visual Journal documentation of your process stages for an original artwork will have you engaging in the key stages of recording the practical steps followed by you as an artist from inception to potential marketing of your completed artwork.
These may include finding inspiration, researching, exploration, media and composition experimentation, media choices, decision making, discarding, problem solving, development, finalisation, refining, artwork presentation, artist statement writing and artwork marketing.
Such documentation can prove very beneficial to you as an artist as not only do you have a lasting document of your creative process for an artwork, but you also have an exemplar format that you can modify or add to when doing future visual journal documentation for artworks.
This is two single day workshops, so if booking the workshop please ensure you select the correct day.
